Apology Notes

Every once in a while when I am teaching music (at Legacy Christian Academy) a couple kids start to misbehave. When they do, they have to pull a card and their teacher makes them write me a note. Today, a couple of boys got in trouble. I think their notes are pretty funny sometimes so I thought I would share a few. (Spelling is how it is in the note.)



"Dear Mrs. Elliott, Sorry. I was laughing in class on Thursday. I told Tristen to stop making me lagh. He did not listen so I tried to hold it but I could not. I am sorry for not holding it in."



"Dear Mrs. Elliont, I am very sorry I was fooling around in class. It was mostly my falt because I was making the others laugh. I will my very hardest not to fool around again. I am very sorry."



"Dear Mrs. Elliot, I'm sorry for messing around in music. I should've done better in class. I will try not to do it again. I wish I was better at listening and being a better person."

Ivy Praying with Bear and Doggie Before Their Nap

Ivy was really quiet in her room, I was about to go and see what was going on, when I heard her say "Amen". I knew exactly what she was doing. Tucking doggie and bear in her bed for a nap. Here she is praying with them before they go to sleep.

Urgent Care

Ok....potty training on hold. I just left Urgent Care with Ivy. She has pink eye in both eyes and a throat ,nose, ear infection. Poor baby. This will be her first time on antibiotics. Please pray for her little body.

WHAT??? Time for Big Girl Undies!

I can't believe that it is time to break out the undies. My little girl cannot be ready for this!

I was going to wait and potty train her this summer but...I guess we are starting now. I was talking to Wendy yesterday and while we were talking Ivy says"Momma, I poo poo". I looked and said "no, not yet but you are going to." And sure enough she did. Wendy said,"Are you nuts? She is telling you she has to go and you are not potty training her!" Finally I told Wendy to lay off me and that I would go get the undies. (Come to think of it, it was kind of dumb of me to wait that long....Thank You friend) So....today we went and got our Hello Kitty undies and suckers for when we go in the potty. Pray for me! I am a little nervous about it. I will keep you posted. Sickness update....she still has a small fever and now a bad cough. She has a raspy little voice because of it and I love that but I want her to get better!

Poor Miss Ivy

Poor Little Miss Ivy has not felt good all day. She woke up with a bad cold. I just took her temperature and it was 103! She, however, isn't too sick to boss me around. You can't tell but she has her computer, channel changer, Spunky to chew on, extra pillow,and her favorite book. She just got done asking for juice and she cries loud enough for me to coming running when she messes up her channel on the TV. She is quite the Princess right now in her sick state. I feel bad for her and have tried to give her lots of "lovies". She might be the Princess but she needs to remember that that makes me the QUEEN!.....That was last night and I didn't get to publish my post. Ivy woke up crying around 5:30am so I put her in bed with us. She is really sick. As she was falling asleep, she came over so she could sleep with my arms around her. As we were sleeping, the Princess wouldn't totally fall asleep until she was holding the Queen's hand.

Weight Loss End of Week 3!

Matt and I rocked it this week in weightloss. I lost 2.5 pounds and Matt broke even. It was his birthday week so give him a break....HE DIDN'T GAIN! He also went to the gym today for the first time in a long time. (Since he hurt his back.) He has had 2 cortisone shots and the Dr. hopes it will have done the trick. He had a little pain after he worked out but he is taking it slow. It was fun to have him there. I put my weight loss tracker on the bottom of my blog to chart my process. It says I have a little over 50 pounds to lose. I am warning you though...if I really lose 50 pounds, you might be getting me mixed up with a model on TV! Hee Hee! I'm in the zone....we'll see what happens this week. Stay tuned!

"Mo Chee"

After an hour at the dinner table because "someone" would not swallow her eggs.....after an hour of dicipline...I mean Biblical Correction......that " someone" needed a bath. As she was having so much fun in the tub, I went and got my camera. She kept saying "Chee Mommy" (Her version of cheese.) After I put my camera away, she kept saying "Mo Chee, Mo Chee Mommy ". So I had to take one "mo chee" once she got her jammies on. In less than one hour we went from tears and total frustration to "chee" bliss. Nigh Night!
