Weight Loss End of Week 3!
Matt and I rocked it this week in weightloss. I lost 2.5 pounds and Matt broke even. It was his birthday week so give him a break....HE DIDN'T GAIN! He also went to the gym today for the first time in a long time. (Since he hurt his back.) He has had 2 cortisone shots and the Dr. hopes it will have done the trick. He had a little pain after he worked out but he is taking it slow. It was fun to have him there. I put my weight loss tracker on the bottom of my blog to chart my process. It says I have a little over 50 pounds to lose. I am warning you though...if I really lose 50 pounds, you might be getting me mixed up with a model on TV! Hee Hee! I'm in the zone....we'll see what happens this week. Stay tuned!

"Mo Chee"
After an hour at the dinner table because "someone" would not swallow her eggs.....after an hour of dicipline...I mean Biblical Correction......that " someone" needed a bath. As she was having so much fun in the tub, I went and got my camera. She kept saying "Chee Mommy" (Her version of cheese.) After I put my camera away, she kept saying "Mo Chee, Mo Chee Mommy ". So I had to take one "mo chee" once she got her jammies on. In less than one hour we went from tears and total frustration to "chee" bliss. Nigh Night!

Yummy Weight Watchers Jalapeno Guacamole
This recipe is not as hot as you think. It was really yummy! Matt loved it. Only 1 point for 1/4 cup! Don't forget to count your chips or veggies!
3 large, ripe avocados, peeled and seeded
3/4 cup chopped tomato (about 1 small)
2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
2 large garlic cloves, pressed
1 jalapeno pepper, minced (to lessen heat, don't add seeds)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1. Mash avocado in a large bowl, add tomato and remaining ingredients, stir gently. Serve immediately or press plastic wrap onto surface of guacamole and chill up to an hour before serving. Yields 11 servings.

Happy Birthday Matt!
Happy Birthday to the greatest husband and father! When I was 33 our lives changed forever with the birth of Ivy....I am looking forward to what the Lord has for our family in your 33rd year. I don't know of anyone who is more sacrificial, loving and tenderhearted. Your girls love you!!!!!
Now....to a funny story. Today after church we went to The Cheesecake Factory for lunch for Matt's birthday. I told the waiter that we were going to take some cheesecake to go because it was Matt's birthday. (Yes we are still on a diet...) While we were waiting for the bill, Ivy started to act up so Matt told me to take her outside and walk around while he was waiting for the bill. After we had left and Matt was sitting at the table by himself, they brought out his cheesecake with a candle and started singing "Happy Birthday". He was all alone and felt stupid and so did the people singing. He wanted to kill me for telling them it was his birthday, they apologized and he left. I laughed all the way home.
Week 2 on the diet. Matt and I both lost 2.5 pounds.....so that is 4.5 pounds lost. Cheesecake today, the gym tomorrow!
